What Specification of Computer Will I Need? IMPORTANT NOTICE CONFIRMATION OF IDENTITY AND RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS In accordance with local regulatory requirements, we are obliged to confirm the identity and residential address of all applicants wishing to open an account. We shall require each applicant to supply WITH THE APPLICATION FORM the following: A) Personal Identifications Documents:- One item from the list below:- i) Certified copy of passport – include number, signature and photograph ii) Certified copy of Full Driving Licence iii) Certified copy of Government Issued Identity Card The above items must bear a signature and photograph and must be certified by either a Director, Manager or Officer of a regulated financial services business operating in an equivalent jurisdiction to Guernsey, a Lawyer or Notary Public, Member of the Judiciary, Qualified Accountant, an Actuary who is a member of a recognised professional body, an Officer of an Embassy, Consulate or High Commission of the Country or Territory of issue of documentary evidence of identity, Senior Civil Servant or a serving Police or Customs Officer, a Medical Practitioner or a Commissioned Officer of HM Forces. A suitable certifier must certify that: he/she has seen original documentation verifying identity and the copy of the document (which he/she certifies) is a complete and accurate copy of that original and the photograph contained in the document certified bears a true likeness to the individual (state name) requesting certification. The certifier must also sign and date the copy identification data, stating his or her name clearly in block capitals, stating his or her capacity or position together with any relevant official stamp and address and a telephone number or e-mail address so that contact can be made in the event of a query. AND B) Residential Address Verification Two different original utility bills, bank statements or recognised bank credit card statements less than 3 months old. The documents must be your most recent originals, not copies and must be from different organisations. They will be returned to you. PO Box Addresses If you have your mail sent to a PO Box address, we are still required to know and confirm the residential address. In this respect we require evidence linking your PO Box address to the residential address. This can be evidenced by: - i) Sending us a certified copy (must be certified in line with above certification requirements) of your agreement with the Post Office showing your accommodation and confirming your residential address. ii) If your employer provides your accommodation, please provide a letter from them, to confirm the residential address, or iii) Sending us an original utility bill, no more than three months old, if both the service address (i.e. the residential address) and the PO Box address are detailed on the same bill. Please ensure that any documentation provided is accompanied by a fully certified English translation. General Guernsey residents may send in address verification and certified forms of identity as described above, or if they prefer, call in personally with original documents at Regency Court, Glategny Esplanade, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 1WW and we will certify them as true copies. Joint Accounts: If the account is to be opened in joint names, the above documentation must be provided by each applicant. If an existing account holder has recently provided confirmation of identity and address in the prescribed format, no further evidence will be required. NOTE: We regret that we will be unable to process your account application unless the required documentation is provided by each applicant and in these circumstances, it will be necessary to return your investment to you with a request that the application be re-submitted.
